A living tribute created to recognize and honor Randolph residents and their family members who are serving, or are veterans who have served, our Country in the United States Armed Forces
In order to be considered for a banner, the nominee must meet the following requirements:
- Lived in Randolph at some point in their lifetime
- Served in one of the following branches: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard or Coast Guard
- Meet one of the following criteria: honorably discharged Veteran, died in the line of duty
Banner Design and Location:
Banners are 22”x 33”, double sided, vinyl material and include service person’s name, branch of service, era of service and photograph. Please include the photograph that you would like to use with your application. Photographs can also be emailed to RACDC@RandolphNY.net with the subject line “hometown heroes”. Banners will be displayed along Main Street and Jamestown Street. Banner location will be selected randomly; any requests for a specific location will be taken into consideration.
The cost per banner is $150. This cost includes the production of the banner, installation and removal. Any proceeds from the purchase of the banners will be used by RACDC towards the Annual Veterans Appreciation Parade and Picnic. If the full price of the banner is a hardship, please check the box on the application “request consideration for sponsorship”. All checks should be made payable to RACDC (reference “Hometown Heroes” on the check) or payment can also be made via paypal to RACDC@RandolphNY.net.
Individuals or businesses interested in supporting the program may donate to the sponsorship banner program. A sponsorship is a general donation toward the Banner Program. All sponsor names will be recognized on the Enjoy Randolph website. Please complete the SPONSORSHIP FORM.
Applications for living veterans must have signed permission from veteran.
